Sleep affects mental health. Mental health affects sleep. Finally, care that treats both.

I'm Kim Loring, a psychiatric nurse practitioner offering comprehensive mental health care — with a specialty in sleep.

Whether you're struggling with insomnia, anxiety, depression, or just feeling like yourself again is out of reach, I'll work with you to build a plan that's tailored to your needs. That might mean behavioral strategies, medication management, restorative practices, or all three.

Sleep and mental health are inseparable. Depression disrupts sleep. Poor sleep worsens anxiety. ADHD makes rest feel impossible. And chronic insomnia is rarely just about sleep.

At The Rest Practice, this connection isn't an afterthought — it's the foundation of how I work. Every service I offer is designed with both in mind.

Most patients find that their sleep, their mood, and their sense of themselves are all connected. We'll figure out where to begin together.

  • Integrative Psychiatric Care

Thoughtful medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more — always within the context of your whole life.

  • Sleep Specialty: CBT-I

The gold standard, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia. Most patients see real results in 4–8 sessions.

  • Rest Practices

Evidence-informed modalities — Yoga Nidra, Reiki, Vibroacoustic Therapy — to support nervous system regulation and deep restoration.

**As a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) healthcare provider, I prioritize compassionate, weight-inclusive care that respects each person’s unique body and experiences. I focus on sustainable health behaviors, body respect, and overall quality of life rather than weight as a measure of health.
